Present job as College Advisor

Being part of adolescents' lives in just a crucial time is a privilege for me. I started at this position in September 2012 with no experience once or ever. I have finished graduate school in the USA but I had no undergraduate experience. I believe the principal gave me a job for the lack of a better person. I did not know what to expect; I just knew about the opportunity to be around young people at a time of many decisions and opportunities. I was thrilled about it!

I was always a front row kind of student and that's what I did. In every College Board/ACT workshop, university visit, and district training I was the one shamelessly asking all the questions.

I love my job and I will miss my students immensely. They are rooting for me to be accepted into the PhD Program. We are together applying to college this year.

Serving young people is what makes me happy. Seeing young people embrace new opportunities they never thought existed and decide to be the best they can be is the most beautiful thing for me. I compare it to my orquids that need a bit of attention to bloom beautifully. It is a miracle!

I could tell you so many stories of love I have experienced throughout my eight years, but that will take too long. I will give you my website, my Instagram account and some Thank You notes from all my years as a educator. Enjoy!
