The chance to start my deep understanding of these issues  is extremely exciting to me. All the yearly trips to Brazil ( sometimes twice a year), conversations with friends and family, long car rides on terrible roads to meet unique people in my state of Ceara has taught me that there are many great people who do enormous good and want the "order and progress" we have written in our flag.

I am an educator by heart and mind. I believe that cooperation and collaboration is the best way to learn. I also believe that making mistake and overcoming obstacles can bring you to greater heights.

I have been a college advisor for 8 years at a public high school in Broward County. My work today brings me a great sense of accomplishment. I motivate high school students to think higher, to understand their gifts and future opportunities. But now is the time to contribute in a larger scale and at another context, a needier context.

​

I believe in the human power to improve lives and I want to be the catalyst of this power. I have seen it happen and it is breathtaking!

I am looking forward to be part of the thriving PhD community who will lead me to ask  the hard questions and help me answer them.
